Position SummaryThe Software Engineer would be responsible for leading the techno-functional impact analysis, design & development activities associated with development of applications. Strong technical, functional, and interpersonal skills are key to perform this role successfully.

In this position you will partner and collaborate with the engineering manager, business analysts, architects, quality assurance, business partners, developers, and project managers to effectively translate the business requirements and architectural designs into engineering components. You will also be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must be able to deliver an efficient solution, as well as identify and mitigate any risks to the product before deployment to production.

To be successful in this position you will need:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Proven experience as a full-stack Developer in understanding business requirements and translating into engineering solutions.
• Hands on experience in writing, debugging, and reviewing code, and producing thoroughly tested, defect-free features
• Experience on how to build, test, and deploy code to run on cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of advance object-oriented design and design patterns
• Strong background on REST Web Services, J2EE and Spring frameworks
• Knowledge of build/dependency management tools such as Maven, GIT

Required Qualifications

• 1-2+ years software development experience in building enterprise/web/cloud applications with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed software design environment
• 1-2+ years of Java development experience while utilizing one or more these technologies: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, NodeJS, Angular 8+, React, or similar
• 1+ year of experience working in an Agile-based development environment using Agile concepts/tools such as Continuous Integration (CI/CD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• 1+ years of experience with building APIs and services using REST
• 1+ years of experience working in React, HTML/CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Bootstrap
• 1-2+ years of experience with version control practices preferably using GIT
• 1+ years of experience working with RDBMS databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres)

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud-based platforms is highly preferred (i.e. Azure, GCP, AWS)
• Frontend and/or full stack development experience utilizing a framework such as Angular or React
• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science Engineering, or related discipline. Master's degree preferred

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:

$72,100.00 - $144,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
