Another easy cozy mystery read. The mystery follows the same formula as previous books in the series. The romance side plot is very slow burn.

Not the best

Sorry but after the major whoops of using the wrong character name at the beginning of the book it just didn't get better. I found the plot so, so, the sleuthing was okay but the main character's almost smug like attitude really put me off. She wasn't like that in the previous books.
After the broom trials the girls are enjoying a welcome break at the coffee shop when one of the server's suddenly clutches her throat and dies. How and why? Now with the evidence before them it seems to the enforcers that the only person to have had means and opportunity was their fellow roomie. However the girls know that she's incapable of such action and the race is on to find the real culprit. Can they keep their friend from being arrested even though she has the best lawyer in the paranormal community? Can they find and bring to justice the real culprit? Will all this bring her nearer to finding which coven she belongs too and why she was abandoned as a baby?

A fun and entertaining series

A fun and entertaining witchy cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters with fun and imaginative stories. A girl from Seattle finds out she is a witch and stumbles into a supernatural town where she begins to learn how to use her powers and live a new life. Unfortunately trouble is always around the corner and she always seems to step in it. Her and her friends must search out and find the truth. Mystery’s must be solved. Check it out lots of pop culture references at entertaining points.

A good paranormal cozy.

Sara Leach or Sara Beach? Broomarella? (I thought Lightening Beach or Lightening Leach was better, more of an alliteration.) Too many hokey names based on the "human" world which most characters wouldn't get. And the characters act closer in age to teenagers rather than 25- to 30-year-olds, as well as seeming to be one-dimensional"good" people. Bad is totally bad, and good is totally good. But this is a cozy mystery, and a new writer; sacrifices must be made. Right, Mr. Meowgi?

Cute read

In this installment of the Western Woods Mystery series, Tina’s friend and roommate Ellie is accused when a fairy dies after eating one of Ellie’s baked goods.
Tina, Amy, and Sara, have to work hard, and fast, to find out who the real killer is.
A fun addition to the series.

More errors

The quality of the editing let's the novel down, although the author really ought to be able to construct a coherent sentence herself.

It's disappointing to find errors such as "Luna said" when Luna is the character who died early on in the novel and it's a completely different person talking. Simple spellchecks are not enough!

Bit of a cliffhanger ending..

Fun mystery

This was a great book and a fun mystery. This is the fourth book and they should be read in order just for maximum enjoyment. I have my fingers crossed that Tina finds out where she belongs and that Kyran asks her out.

Give me more please!

I'm totally addicted to this series and I just love everything about it.
Having strong female leads who are witches not the least of my reasons. Give it a go. But I'd advise to read I order. It's just so much more fun that way.

Tina to the rescue!!!

Once again it’s Tina who catches the killer. Each book is better than the one before. The four are more like sisters than just friends. Can’t wait to read the next book. The broom competition sounds like a great story. 👍👍

Cliffhanger!!!

Although as usual, the girls wrap up the mystery nicely, the book definitely ends with a cliffhanger (or 2)! Sara's competition, Tina's coven, Amy's future.....
