Have you had an "almost breakthrough" and it comes all crashing in split moments? I just had one of those moments." Hi Onyeka, we are excited to welcome you to our team and provide full assistance during the onboarding. If you are willing to proceed, please specify your current location so that we can arrange the delivery of your necessary equipment... Find below your letter offer" Few hours into replying to the mail and specifying the current location of residence. The next email reads " Hey Onyeka, I’m sorry but M sent me a message saying xyz residents aren’t eligible for that particular position due to geo-location restrictions. I feel so bad that I raised your hopes and we’ll keep in touch" I'd read these emails over and over and over... Could almost taste those neatly printed words on my lips, literally 😔Well, we win some. We lose some.And we keep showing up, always!

Back story: Been on #upwork for over two years+ and in the course of using the platform, it has always been one lousy invite every three days for me.Upwork introduced a new policy which scrapped the free application to invited jobs as any invite now requires connect to accept and send in your proposal.It's been a back-to-back invitation for me ever since this policy was implemented. #upwork in all sincerity, this new phase you are currently dishing out is it humane, gbo??🤭

One of the major hills in hosting is #airbnb conflict resolution. The stalling, the back and forth, the calls and in between detailed explanations of events. Conflict resolution is one of my major tasks as a cohost & property manager because what's hosting without few difficulties, right Here are my 3 major steps to ensure a smooth resolution;🌿 Always keep all guest communication on the booking app. This is one mistake most hosts make. When there is a hiccup during a guest stay, they quickly place direct calls to guests to resolve issues and never bother to reference the progress afterwards on the app hence not documenting enough evidence for later days.🌿 Be calm yet direct in your approach and carefully outline your complaints with enough documented evidence. This makes resolution easier and faster.🌿 There's a phrase in my hometown "Keep standing on business! Never relent in following up on your cases.
